Dan Frazen
Managing Director, CPRN
Dan Frazen is the Managing Director of the Colorado Preparedness & Response Network (CPRN), responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 501(c)(4) organization.
Dan is tasked with improving emergency planning and enhancing response capabilities by collaborating with Colorado's oil & gas industry partners, first responders, and emergency managers. He continually fosters partnerships and promotes coordination between industry and public safety professionals to improve safety in all phases of disaster response.
Dan is a Colorado Certified Emergency Manager (CO-CEM), Certified Fire Investigator (IAAI-CFI), and Incident Command System instructor with over 25 years of public safety and emergency response experience. He is a proud Colorado State University alumn with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. He also has a Master of Science degree in Emergency Services Management from Columbia Southern University, and recently graduated from FEMA’s National Emergency Management Advanced Academy (NEMAA).
Dan is certified in the FEMA Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP), having designed and led numerous disaster drills and exercises. He is skilled in all-hazards incident response, critical infrastructure protection, and building multi-disciplinary teams to successfully prepare for and respond to emergencies. Prior to leading the CPRN, he worked as a municipal emergency manager in Northern Colorado and as a law enforcement officer at the local, state, and federal levels across the Western United States.
